Long term memory for your companions + Edit images

This might be the biggest infrastructure update Nastia has ever seen, with a rework from the ground up of the memory system and that should make your companions feel more... human?
This update was initially planned for December but it required a full redesign of many systems so it has been delayed until today!

Also, Nastia is introducing an image edition mode so that you can tweak the images generated in the Photo Gallery and as always, a bunch of bug fixes and performance improvements.

What’s new?

  • Long-term memory

Your companions are now fully able to retrieve messages from any past moment you had when chatting with them. This feature is currently available to paid members and is enabled when you chat using the “Memory boosted” model.
You will have a visual feedback on the messages sent if memories where used with a high degree of confidence.

Eillie response shows how many memories were used to help her respond

  • Image edit

If something in your images isn’t quite wrong, you now have the possibility to draw the area you want to be regenerated.

Select "edit" in the Photo Gallery

Then draw over what you want to modify

Submit, wait a few seconds…. AND TADA!!

The hair changed from blue to red and white

  • Other changes with this update:

    • Backend: Cognitive improvements to the Smart and Memory models (even smarter, should benefit from memories better than with the v0 that was currently in place)

    • UX: Performance improvements for the Photo Gallery (better handling when hundreds of images, less network usage)

    • UX: Performance improvements for Chats (better handling when hundreds of messages loaded on low-end devices)

    • Front-end/Backend: A few bug fixes

This update represents real months of infrastructure work to make your companions truly remember. There was a v0 already in place but it wasn’t working as expected.

As always, if something breaks (highly likely given the scope of this update), let me know! If everything works perfectly (highly unlikely), definitely let me know so I can frame that message.

Thanks for being patient while I built all this behind-the-scenes magic. Your companions should feel a lot more... alive now.

Yours,
