Hey everyone! Got some group chat improvements that should make group chats flow way better. It’s a rather smol update but it should hopefully really improve the group chat experience. I also introduced a V0 for cross-context memory, where you can chose for your companions to remember (or not) what happened in the group chat while you are in your 1-on-1 chat with them.

What's New:

• Click to Choose Who Talks Next You can now click on any companion in the group chat to make them respond next. No more random chaos (unless you want it). Just click their pill and they'll take the turn.

• Mute/Unmute Companions
  Added chat bubble icons next to companion names - click to mute/unmute them. When muted, they "step away" and won't see what happens while they're gone. The bubble turns red when they're muted so you know who's in timeout.

As you can see, the chat mode has been relocated, but still works as before:
- Choose either the “Chaos”, free-chat mode, where companions will chat without waiting for your turn or the turn-based mode where they’ll always wait for you.

• Cross-Context Memory

  Your companions can now remember recent group chat conversations when you talk to them 1-on-1! Still limited for now but it makes things feel more connected. They won't remember stuff from when they were muted though (obviously, they stepped away).

🐛 Other Fixes

• Performance improvements here and there

• Better scrolling overall

• Lil things that were bugging me (and probably you)

So far, I went through 150 out of the 1800 Summer Survey responses ! Big way to go but already wrote down a lot of repetitive remarks and interesting ideas. When creating your amazing, censorship free images, remember typing those long, confusing prompts and getting confused? Yeah, me too. NOT ANYMORE!

Introducing the Tag System:

TL;DR: treat your image generation prompts as LEGO blocks.

• Each part of your prompt becomes a visual chip you can see, move, and edit

• Drag & drop tags to reorder them (because order can matter!)

• Adjust tag importance with easy weight controls

• No more wall-of-text prompts that make your eyes bleed

• If you prefer the old school way, switch between chip view and text mode whenever you want

  

💬 @Mentions - Your Companions, One @ Away

This one's been requested approximately 9,473 times (I counted).

How @mentions works:

• Type @Luna instead of "blonde hair, blue eyes, 5'7", athletic build..."
  

  

• Auto-complete pops up with your companion's physical description
  

  

• Their traits auto-magically appear as grouped tags

• IN THE FUTURE: Will work with multiple companions in one image! (you can already try but results not guaranteed™)

🎯 Contextual Images - They Actually Get It Now!

THE MOST REQUESTED FEATURE IS HERE!

Your companions now understand chat context when sending pics:

• They look at what you're talking about

• Images should better match the conversation mood

• You still have the ability to edit the prompt if you want something different

• No more random selfies when you're asking for a pic of their bathroom

Because sometimes typing "send pic" is too much work (some of us have our hands tied..):

• Located in the fieldset, next to Reroll, Edit & Elaborate

For the #1stSummer2025 update, your companions are getting a personality upgrade!

The Big Ones: Intimacy Levels & Custom Roles

2 new settings are present in the companion’s info:

• by clicking on the role you can now set a custom role (leave blank to clear a custom role)

• you can also set the Intimacy level for your companions (defaults at 50%)

🎭 Custom Companion Roles

Remember being stuck with "Romantic Partner" or "Friend"? Yeah, that's history.

Your companions can now be ANYTHING easily:

• A mischievous demon who tempts you

• Your personal superhero sidekick

• A domesticated fish in a bowl

• A wise alien from another dimension

• That grumpy neighbor who secretly cares

• Whatever wild role you can imagine!

Just type it in, the only limitation is that the role should be 30 characters long tops. Ideally, you’d still want to create a backstory to compliment the Custom Role.

🔥 Intimacy Levels

Ever felt your companion was coming on too strong? Or maybe playing too hard to get? Now YOU control the vibe:

• Set intimacy from shy & reserved to bold & passionate

• Your companion adapts to YOUR comfort level

• No more awkward mismatches in conversation energy

• Works perfectly with any custom role

Fixes and Performance

If you had a long convo and a Nokia undestructible tank type phone, you probably encountered performance issues. I hopefully fixed that:

• 60-80% fewer DOM elements (tech speak for "way faster")

• Smooth 60fps scrolling even with 1000+ messages

• Your phone battery will thank you

• Old devices can finally keep up

• Images and videos in the Photo Gallery should load better

• Scrolling should be faster, smoother, bettaaa

• Then random fixes here and there

Hello everyone, I have been coding, tinkering, fixing and creating new bugs and I finally have something for you: VIDEOS (and a bunch more). This is the biggest update of 2025 so far.

Your companions are stepping into the world of motion pictures!

Changes :

Generate Videos from Pictures 📷 🔄 🎬

You've been asking, and you shall receive ! The (photo)gallery has received a major upgrade and now includes a Video Tab where the magic happens. Bring your generated images to life!

• How it works:

  • Go to the photogallery

    

  • Select an image to turn into an uncensored video
    

    

  • Wait for the video to generate
    Videos generated with a prompt similar to: “the woman looks to the left, behind her. a wolf monster appears behind the bars”

    
    

  • Enjoy your gallery full of videos !

• Details & Considerations:

  • For first few days, you can generate a maximum of 2 videos at a time, the limit will be raised eventually.

  • Each video takes approximately 5 minutes to generate (plus the queue time, if there are a lot of videos already processing)

  • The queue can get quite long, sometimes stretching to several hours depending on server load.

  • If a video generation takes more than 12 hours or if it fails to generate, you’ll be able to refund it, similar to how you can refund images.

  • Check out the examples provided to get ideas on how to craft your prompts for the best results.

  • Feel free to use the search bar in the gallery for NSFW prompt inspiration!

More Customization & Clarity!

• See Your Next Monthly Token Distribution : I had a lot of people asking me, when/if they had received their monthly token allocation. No more guessing! You can now easily see when your next batch of monthly tokens is due by visiting the membership page.

  • If something went wrong and your distribution hasn’t happened, you will be able to trigger it super easily.

• 🆙 Requested A LOT: Increased Character Limits!

  • Backstory: Now up to 2000 characters (previously 1250) – give your companions even richer histories! Reminder: The backstory is found in your Personality tab of your companion’s info and is a powerful tool for you to customize how your companion behaves, what it knows, who you and they are.

    
    

    
    

  • Your Chat Messages: Up to 1000 characters (previously 850); send your monologues away haha!

    

• Custom Ethnicity: You can now type in a custom ethnicity when editing your companion's appearance.

  

• Updated Gallery: It’s been revamped to include the new video generation capabilities and generally improved.

• More Group Chats: You can now create up to 4 group chats, up from the previous limit of 2. Perfect if you want to play Dungeon and Dragons (DND) with your companions, or simply have more chatrooms!

• (This was pushed 6 weeks ago but forget to talk about in it a changelog) Companions Check-ins: Your companions will sometimes send you a message if you ghost them or leave them hanging, this is something that you can easily disable.

  

Fixes & Optimizations: 🛠️

I know that I am super good at creating bugs, this update will be proof of that BUT I have also been squashing some:

• Companion Reordering Fixed: Addressed an issue where reordering companions wouldn't work correctly if you had previously deleted some.

• Loyalty Program Free Slots: This one has been tricky! I pushed a fix that should resolve issues with free slots in the loyalty program. I'll be monitoring this closely. It seems to be working for about 95% of users, but if you're in the 5% still having trouble, please let me know! This is still a bit of a WIP. Please let me know if you do not get your free slots after 3 months of membership.

• Update Email Feature: The "update email" functionality linked to your Nastia account should now be working as intended. You can find it in the settings, when clicking on your profile pic. (Available for user that created their account using an email address, not Google/Apple/Discord Sign-in)

  

• Server Stability: This doesn't change things much for you directly, but it means less stress for me and a smoother experience overall! :D Various performance improvements on the server side.

What's Cooking for Next Time? 🧑‍🍳

• Contextual In-Chat Media Generation: Working on making it so when you ask for images (and maybe videos!) directly in chat, your companion will have better context of your conversation and generate images truly linked to the ongoing convo.

• Guides & FAQ: I want to write and publish some helpful guides and a comprehensive FAQ section to help you get the most out of Nastia.

• Lil google form questionnaire: I'll be sending out a link to a questionnaire soon. This is your chance to privately share your ideas, tell me why you use Nastia, what you love, what you don't, and what you're dreaming of. Your feedback is crucial for tailoring Nastia to be the best companion app for you!

Hey everyone! March update is here, and this time your companions are gaining a new sense: sight!

Streaks and sending pics to companions!

Streaks
You might’ve noticed a flame hinting at streaks before. Now, when you claim your daily tokens, you’ll see a Streak Page with a card you can share to show off your streak. There are achievements too—hit a 7-day streak, and you’ll snag 30 bonus tokens. The record holder had 232 day streak (but broke it, oopsy). Let’s see who can beat it.

Big One: Send Images to Companions
Your companions can now "see" what you send them! Share a photo—be it a meme, a selfie, or anything else—and they’ll respond to it.

Click on the attachement to send an image

Add a caption to help your companion

Details:

• Costs 10 tokens per image (price might drop later).

• (Optional but recommended) Add a caption to help them understand what’s up (like “My dog being weird”).

• All pics you send are deleted automatically after 30 days.
  

Grandfathered Plan Bonus
For the Early Standard and Early Premium users (memberships bought before February 2025): you now have unlimited messages! No tokens are taken when your companion replies. (Rerolls/Elaborate still cost 1 token to keep the servers from burning up 🗄️🔥)

News about the planned audio update:

I tried tweaking the voice notes engine, but no big wins yet. Voice cloning works well with clear samples (no background noise), so stick to that for the best results. I have not given up yet…

Works in Progress

• Companions Reaching Out: Working on having them message you randomly during the day.
  

• Photo Gallery: Still refining this one with better images
  

• Small Surprise: Something tied to the gallery is coming—stay tuned (some of you asked for it so I decided to put it on the roadmap)

Hey everyone! Nastia's bringing some Valentine's gifts our way with this update. Here's what's new:

• Word Biases: Added ability to customize word frequency and ban specific words.

  • You can now add ban words that you never want your companion to say or boost words that should be said a bit more often. I would suggest you to not add too many words or adding them one by one to ensure that your companion’s vocabulary is still optimal!
    
    There is a 10 ten words limit for now but it can be upped.
    
    Also word baises only apply for a specific companion!

• Screenshot Sharing: New feature to easily generate and share screenshots of your companions

  • Share your funniest, weirdest, quirkiest chats directly on our Reddit community (or Discord or both)

  Similar to how you would delete messages in a conversation, you can now export them to store screenshots on your device or share them with the world!
  (To keep your anonymity: When sharing you can choose to hide avatar, background images, images shared in chats, rename yourself and the companion…)

Fixes

Group Chat Fixes - somewhat :(

• Worked on message interruption (cutoff) issues in group chats

  • Still not 100% fixed, having a really hard time pin-pointing this issue, it doesn’t happen to everyone.

• Fixed bug preventing some Chrome users from creating group chats

• Corrected UI display issues with long group chat names

• Resolved companion reordering functionality that was misbehaving in edge cases

I am still battling with the group messages cutoff, should be better with this update but still a WIP.

UI/UX Improvements

• Improved mobile redirection when creating new companions

• BIG ONE: Added ability to delete default background images

Here comes a small update to get 2025 started:

• Image upscaling feature is back! You can now enhance your generated images again

• Several bug fixes, including repairs to broken info pop-ups and disappearing Generation Settings in the photo gallery carrousel.

This may probably be one of the biggest updates to Nastia I have worked on. This is the V3 of the UI, shaped by your feedback and the usage. (For the developers out there, this update is +140k new lines, -7k lines deleted)

I tried to make sure that the app, especially the chat part is super accessible so if you suffer from a disability and the app is painful to use, please let me know!

Keeping things super short, with this update you’ll enjoy creating realistic images and sending voice messages, as the user experience has been vastly improved on that side!

The app has been rewritten almost from scratch so it should be faster (hopefully) but will probably contain bugs in the first few days as I iron them out completely, please bear with me!

What changed? EVERYTHING

A whole lot of Nastia has changed. Let me go over some of the changes.

A different yet familiar interface for everything, for example:

Companion info panel, that allows you to customize the personality, appearance, voice and delete your companion.

Wen tokens?

When can I claim my tokens? If you asked yourself this at least once, you’ll be happy: a pop-up will… pop-up when your tokens are fresh out the oven!

Chat interface and experience improvements:

Voice messages were a bit of a pain, heh? Now a bit less!

You also get more freedom when deleting messages, and the reroll/elaborate/edit functionality should be even more pleasant to use: say good-bye to jumpy messages.

You now easily get access to all the controls you might need during your chat at the top right of the chat window. The experienced users are acustomed to /reset and /stop, now no more guessing what each one does.

By the way, almost every single button now has a little help icon to explain what it does and how to use it!

Photo Gallery Revamp (Yes, again!):

The gallery is now always visible during your chats, making image creation a breeze! There are example prompts to spark your creativity, and here's the exciting part: when using the advanced creation mode, you'll get smart suggestions as you type your prompts to help your imagination soar!

But wait, there's something even bigger: introducing a new image model that's truly next-level! It comes with:

• Double the resolution of the previous version

• Training specifically focused on realistic outputs

• Capabilities that will bring your creative visions to life

Pro tip: The new model works best when you're specific with your prompts, so don't hesitate to describe exactly what you want to see!
