Ability to edit companion's messages in group chats

At the moment the only way to alter a companion's message in a group chat is to delete/reroll it. It would be nice if the feature was carried over from solo chats where you can edit a message to your liking. This may be difficult as the dynamics of AI intuition and memory probably get complex in group chats, or it's an easy fix and a mere oversight, not sure.
